Rescuing the rave

This article is a brilliant response in the ever-entertaining Quietus to the Bloc fiasco. You know, festivals are supposed to reaffirm your faith in human nature. And that was always what rave was all about – albeit normally a communal experience that was enhanced by the ecstasy.

However, it is encouraging and reaffirming to read about promoters and musicians committed to simply making it better.

If you speak to a few festival organisers, you will soon find out that all they really want to do is create a better world for a few days. Sometimes I think it’s a shame these wonderful people are not a bit more ambitious. Why don’t politicians, business people etc etc share the same goal? Sigh….
